Mardis is an industrial designer renowned for shaping transformational products and experiences across diverse industries. He has collaborated with industry leaders like Nike, Facebook, Intel and Logitech. His current client roster includes pivotal companies such as Motif Neurotech, which is developing a brain computer interface to help people with treatment-resistant depression; Sierra Space, which is designing the world’s first inflatable commercial space module, and Jaza Energy, which is deploying alternative energy systems for under-served, rural African communities. At Nonfiction, Mardis leads a global team committed to “turning science fiction into reality for a better future.” Their approach integrates cutting-edge innovation, behavioural change and impact to deliver meaningful products that improve lives. Beyond his design work, Mardis is a passionate storyteller and educator. He co-produces Future Future, a video series that demystifies design and explores what lies ahead for humanity. He is also dedicated to shaping the next generation of thinkers and has served as Adjunct Professor at the California College of the Arts, where he taught Sustainability & Social Impact. Prior to Nonfiction, Mardis co-founded the personal audio brand, Felt Audio, and guided its products from concept to global distribution.
