For over two decades, Ashlea has pursued her passion as a designer, educator and advocate.
In 2005, she launched Pixsoul Media, a creative agency recognized for its work with leading brands in the natural resources and finance sectors. Ashlea’s role extends beyond entrepreneurship to faculty positions at institutions including Vancouver Community College, University of the Fraser Valley and BC Institute of Technology. Fueled by a drive to equip professionals for the future, Ashlea’s Master’s research on ‘Critical Thinking in the Age of AI and Automation’ uncovered the profound impact AI will have on creative careers and spurred her to found The Modern Design Academy, which is dedicated to empowering individuals with essential AI skills. With a career spanning education, entrepreneurship and advocacy, Ashlea emphasizes the need for adaptable curricula to meet evolving workforce demands. Her joy stems from guiding students to navigate their paths to success, armed with skills in communication, imagination and adaptability.
