The business world is radically changing.
The barriers to entry erected by large corporations, made of scale production, distribution and communication, have been crumbling for years under the pressure of globalization, new technologies, social media and e-commerce. Innovation is no longer an optional choice: either you do it or you risk extinction. Either you innovate, or someone else will do it on your behalf.
The biggest barrier to entry that we can think of is the design of extraordinary products and brands, focused on people's needs and wants. In this talk inspired by his book, “The Human Side of Innovation”, Mauro talks about a unique approach to innovation, design-driven and human-centred that he’s been practising and infusing for the past 20+ years in large American corporations like PepsiCo and 3M. Blending theories and case studies, personal stories and strategies, his story shows ways to design a future that is based on the role of the human being: the one we design for and the one designing.
