See the Streets!

Walking Tour

While we’re out of office, let’s hit the sidewalks for some visual exploration.

Starting and ending at Meridian Hall, this guided walk and group conversation is an exercise in unscripted curiosity, prompting you to slow down, look up and notice details of the city hiding in plain sight. Together, we’ll explore a historic slice of downtown, tracing the old Lake Ontario shoreline and looking at the streets with a fresh perspective. Our path highlights a living archive of design, including the public space at Berczy Park and historic typography outside the Design Exchange. We’ll also keep an eye out for murals, quirky signage, layers of architecture and the faded lettering of “ghost signs”. Whether you’re a local or visiting Toronto for the first time, this walk invites you to sharpen your observational eye while reminding you how to find creative inspiration in your everyday surroundings.

Accessibility note: This session takes place entirely outdoors. We will be walking on sidewalks that can occasionally be crowded, noisy or have uneven surfaces.

Requires pre-registration due to limited space.
Cost: $10.
