Probably Right: Designing for AI Agents

Maggie Chen

Oct 21, 2:00 - 2:45 PM

Meridian Hall — Castlepoint Numa Lounge

AI Agents are changing how we interact with software.

Before: You click a button and something happens, every time. Now: You type or speak anything, and hope you get something that’s right… most of the time. When outputs are probabilistic, how do we design software that meets user expectations? How do we make AI Agents that are intuitive, useful and trustworthy? To get there, we’ll tackle the basics—what is an AI Agent anyway?—then get into approaches for crafting reliable AI Agents alongside your technical colleagues.

What participants will learn

  • What AI Agents are and how they differ from other forms of conversational software
  • How AI Agents work and where they fall short
  • How to design trustworthy AI Agents, working with technical colleagues like PMs, Engineers and ML scientists
