Designing for a wall is very different from designing for a screen or page. Scale, visibility, colour and environment all influence how a design functions in public space.

In this hands-on workshop, mural artist and designer Andrea Rodriguez introduces participants to the fundamentals of mural and large-scale lettering design. Through guided exercises, you’ll explore how basic shapes, lettering structures and composition can translate into bold public artwork. Using simple sketching tools, you’ll experiment with scaling design ideas, developing compositions and understanding how murals interact with architecture and public environments.

The workshop offers an accessible introduction to mural thinking for designers interested in expanding their practice beyond the desk.
