Talk: Finding Yourself Over and Over Again


Jessica has created lettering and type for clients that include Wes Anderson, the US Postal Service, The New York Times, Starbucks, Tiffany & Co, Target, Wired Magazine, and Penguin Books. She also specializes in logotype refinement work, creating updated logos for brands like MailChimp, Southern Living and Jeni’s Ice Cream. She’s been named a Print Magazine New Visual Artist (20 under 30), one of Forbes 30 under 30 in Art and Design, an ADC Young Gun and a “Person to Watch” by GDUSA. Aside from her client work, she has created numerous side projects including Daily Drop Cap, Should I Work for Free? and Mom This is How Twitter Works, and Don’t Fear the Internet (created with Russ Maschmeyer). Her first book, In Progress, is available through Chronicle Books. Her first children’s book, Tomorrow I’ll Be Brave, was published in 2018 through Penguin Workshop.
