Mystifying the Automobile: The Power of Pictography and Numerology in the Naming of Cars
Join Prof. Marcel Danesi of the Semiotics and Anthropology Department at the University of Toronto for this lively, interactive discussion. Danesi is Director of the Program in Semiotics and Communication Theory. Among his publications are Understanding Media Semiotics, Persuasive Signs: The Semiotics of Advertising and My Son Is an Alien: A Cultural Portrait of Today's Youth.
