Dan Saffer has worked in interactive media since 1995. Currently, he is an interaction designer at the strategic design firm Adaptive Path and is the author of the book Designing for Interaction: Creating Smart Applications and Clever Devices (New Riders, 2006) which AIGA executive director Richard Grefe said should "fast become a standard reference in the process of design thinking for purposeful interactions." He has designed a wide range of products and services, from web sites to mobile devices to robot navigation systems, for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. He holds a Master of Design in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
