We are in the midst of a transition from book culture
to digital culture. We are beginning to explore what
digital media affords us, with some intriguing results.
With communication as a constant goal, Dan Boyarski
has challenged his students over the past decade to
include time as a design element, in addition to type
and images. He will share some results of this intriguing
exploration into time-based communication design, as
it has evolved out of graphic design and visual communication.
A Professor of Design at Carnegie Mellon University,
Boyarski has more than 26 years of experience in design
education and professional practice.
